Flex-R Launches New RIBA Approved Roof Refurbishment CPD
We’re delighted to announce the launch of Flex-R’s new RIBA approved CPD seminar entitled ‘Roof Refurbishment: A Guide to Best Practice’. To make it even easier, and in response to the current climate, Flex-R will also offer the seminar through a continuous programme of free online CPD Webinars.
There are many different factors to consider when working on roof refurbishment projects. How will the roof survey influence the design? Do you understand the different roof types available? What is the condition of the roof deck and should you strip or overlay?
As suppliers to the roofing industry, Flex-R have a long history of working with clients throughout the entire process from design all the way through to the installation. We regularly work on roof refurbishment projects for education providers and on commercial and domestic projects advising on the issues which can arise.
Our CPD offers a step by step guide to the refurbishment process covering the options available for upgrading the insulation, selecting the correct waterproofing system and what to expect from suppliers.
The CPD also addresses how to avoid common problems with detailing, compatibility and interfaces. There’s a checklist of what manufacturer support to expect, plus advice on compliance with British Standards and Codes of Practice.
The seminar lasts for about an hour and attendees will get the opportunity to ask questions to the presenter throughout the webinar.
