Sherd Lodge Care Home was converted and extended with the erection of an additional three floors, to create 49 flats.

Although liquid was originally specified, the client was looking for another option after having an unpleasant experience on a previous project in liquid. After introducing FLEX-R’s services and providing samples and previous case studies, RubberBond Single Ply was chosen as the favoured roofing solution as an alternate to liquid.

Although there were a few issues with balconies due to structural errors, outlets were added to drain away any surface water which had been causing ponding or flooding.
