Bethany School, Roof Refurbishment
The school has numerous individual buildings with a low pitch slope. They had a bitumen felt covering that was failing due to age. The school has undertaken a programme of works with T. Robinson an Approved RubberBond FleeceBack installer to get all these buildings waterproofed with the RubberBond system.
The natural, slate grey finish of the membrane made it a perfect choice for the roofs that are visible from the ground.
After numerous core samples were taken the existing decking and covering were left in place and new decking was fixed in place. This saved the school considerable waste disposal costs and ensured that water ingress during refurbishment was avoided.
