ARCHITECTS & SPECIFIERS
Flex-R has created a network of Specialist Registered Installers (SRI) that offer superior installation, better product range and support. SRI businesses can provide the complete service you require while Flex-R utilise their proven and extensive expertise to assist with design, advice, material recommendations and guidance.
Contractors who want to join the SRI scheme will only be considered if they want to build a relationship not just for a one-off job. This has many benefits for architects, specifiers and property owners.
Roofing companies apply to become SRI accredited and are vetted before training. They must be in house trained before we will supply RubberBond, GE Enduris or LQD-R2 roofing products to them, they then enter the on-site training and support process to ensure their work is of a high standard.
A quality roof is more than just the products that go into it – it’s also the support and service that assist you throughout the entire process. It’s important to have knowledgeable representatives and distributors who are experienced in EPDM single ply roofing and can provide you with the service you need from design and specification to purchase, delivery and installation.
RUBBERBOND FLEECEBACK

Approved by both the British Board of Agrément (certificate no.02/3967) and the National House-Building Council (NHBC), you can be assured you are receiving a product that meets the highest quality standards.
RubberBond FleeceBack leaves rivals behind, not only due to the benefits of fleece reinforcement, but also due to the unique patented technology used in the manufacturing process. Comprising two layers laminated together to create a resilient 3mm membrane, the waterproofing 1.2mm thick EPDM membrane bonded to a strong 1.8mm deep polyester fleece backing.
Invest today to save later
The average annual cost of a RubberBond FleeceBack EPDM roof system offers significant savings beyond those of a typical 10 or 20 year roof system. A long-term EPDM solution reduces the hassle and cost associated with a lower quality roof.
Energy efficiency
Carlisle EPDM roof systems provide performance and savings for decades. Long-term analysis demonstrates that choosing EPDM can cut the lifecycle costs of a roof by as much as 25%, an investment resulting in savings throughout the life of a roof. Research demonstrates that the amount of energy required to produce EPDM, from extraction to installation, is lower than any other single ply material.
Weather resistance and reparability
Carlisle recently updated its Xenon Arc weathering data which accurately reflects EPDM’s superior long-term performance. The Xenon Arc test measures how much energy a product can be exposed to without exhibiting cracks or crazing. Carlisle’s EPDM achieved 41,580 kj/m², outperforming its own TPO and PVC membranes by more than double. The long-term weather resistance and reparability of EPDM continue to be major points of differentiation that building owners and design professionals take into consideration when selecting roofing systems. A roof’s primary function remains to keep a building dry and EPDM is unmatched in its ability to do so.

GE Enduris

We know roofs have it hard. On a hot or cold day, a typical roof can experience large variations of temperatures. This constant temperature fluctuation and UV exposure can create tremendous strain over time. Most commonly, roofs fail where dissimilar materials meet at penetrations, seams and edges. Minor structural issues can cause additional challenges such as poor drainage and ponding water. The Enduris* roof coating system is a fast, efficient and economical alternative to replacement. Backed by world-class technical support and a 10, 15 or 20 – year warranty.
- Seamless, stable and energy-efficient coating
- Dramatically extend roof life expectancy
- Durable and permanently flexible
- Provides maximum long-term performance
- 100% silicone, allowing it to expand and contract at the same rate
- Stable, flexible and virtually unaffected by daily and seasonal temperature extremes
- Cold weather application
- Does not become brittle or harden as the system ages
- 10, 15 or 20 – year warranty
Enduris is appropriate over most structurally sound existing roofing systems including:
• Single-ply membranes (TPO, EPDM, PVC)
• Asphaltic and mod bit
• Metal
• Concrete
• Foam
LQD-R

Liquid Applied Waterproofing
LQD-R2 liquid waterproofing membrane is the latest innovation in liquid roofing technology combining the benefits associated with existing alternative products to create a new system which is very user friendly. Customers currently using liquid applied waterproofing systems will be familiar with the challenges often associated with this type of product. Unpleasant odours, restrictive weather conditions, differing application processes, multi component systems – combined, these make the successful installation of liquid systems very challenging. LQD-R2 has been developed with these attributes in mind to produce a membrane which is considerate to the needs of the installer. LQD-R2 is a liquid waterproofing system that eliminates many of the challenges faced, to provide a product which is very practical to use and ‘ticks all the boxes’.
System Benefits
- Completely solvent free
- No VOCs
- Re-sealable lids
- Very low odour
- Fast curing
- ’Wet-on-wet’ application
- Usable at low temperature
- Vapour permeable
